Ellen's Story

A quick chat with your GP can change your life when you have OAB.

I was always active and social. Working on a shop floor, meeting friends for lunch, heading out for dinner with family—my life was full of activity, and I loved it. Then 9 years ago that all changed.

I dreaded work, I would say no to meeting up with friends, I’d even be reluctant to cook for my grandkids, all because I was terrified that I’d be out and about or in a room with others and all of a sudden I’d get that dreaded feeling and my bladder would just empty - completely outside of my control.

It took me 5 years to contact my GP for a chat, and I can’t believe I didn’t go sooner.

Who knew that 3 letters could change my life? But they did. O-A-B. When my GP confirmed that I had OAB, I felt like I had my life back. I was Ellen again.

Now I can go out when I want to, I can go on trips away again. All without the fear of what may happen if I feel that Overactive Bladder twinge.

Take Control of OAB like I did – And talk to your GP today.
